Frequently asked questions
Will this light suit my interior?
We choose timeless shapes and honest materials. Nothing forced — it works in modern spaces and period homes alike, because it’s designed to function, not to shout.
Which bulb do I need?
It’s listed on the product page: the fitting (E27, E14, GU10, etc.) and maximum wattage. Choose warm or cool light yourself — that’s what sets the mood. We recommend LED for lower running costs and a longer lifespan.
Is this light dimmable?
It depends on the model and the bulb. It’s always stated on the product page. If it’s dimmable, we say so. If it isn’t, we say that too. No vague “may be dimmable” answers.
How do I choose the right size and placement?
Above a dining table: 60–75cm above the tabletop usually works best. Too low and it blocks your view; too high and it loses its purpose. For other rooms: the dimensions are on the product page — measure your space and check it fits. That’s all there is to it.
Do the colour and material match the photos?
We photograph in natural light, without filters. What you see is what you get. Do bear in mind: your choice of bulb affects how the light looks — warm white creates a different mood to cool white.
Is it easy to install?
Table and floor lamps: plug in and you’re done. Wall and ceiling lights: standard fitting with clear instructions. If you’re not experienced with electrics, do call an electrician — it’s simply the sensible thing to do.
What exactly is included?
It’s listed on the product page. Sometimes the bulb is included, sometimes not. We’re upfront about what’s in the box and what you’ll need to source yourself — no surprises when you unbox it.
What are the delivery costs and delivery time?
Delivery is always free across the UK, with no minimum order. Order today and we’ll dispatch tomorrow — fully tracked, so you know exactly when your parcel will arrive.
How do returns work at Yulvane?
You have 30 days to change your mind. Let us know you’d like to return it, we’ll send instructions, you send it back and you get your money back. No fuss.
What warranty do I get on my light?
A 3-year warranty against manufacturing faults. We choose materials and wiring that are made to last — no plastic next yellows within a year. Should anything go wrong, we’ll sort it out together.
What can I expect with a larger purchase?
Honest about what something can and can’t do. Careful packaging. Whether you’re buying one light or ten — every order gets the same care.
